Volunteer Training Session

For the Memories and Mediascapes workshop, taking place at Watershed next week, we will be helped out by some amazing volunteers. They will working with the Watershed team to support the older learners from across Europe to share their stories of water and create a soundscape around Bristol Harbourside. Today we had the volunteer training session and it was really inspiring  to meet such a talented group of people. I feel sure that their musical and film background, technical skills and interest in the theme of the workshop - water - will add a richness to the workshop experience and help us to create some really exciting work. I can't wait to get stuck in next week!

  2. My mother, Ligia Uritesc from Romania, is one of the participants at this wonderful workshop and she is thrilled about it. Today is her first day in Bristol and I can't wait to hear from her more.
I already miss her but I know that she will have the best week ever. Thank you for making all these possible.

    Best wishes from Romania,
    Adina and Edwin

  3. hello Adina, we had a wonderful day today, you will see your mother cutting her cake in the photo above and she had the most amazing drinks and smoked cheese and folk music for us to listen to. Hope you enjoy following her progress, best wishes

  4. We have very strong traditional drinks. Probably you have already tasted "Palinca" or "Tuica". It makes our folk dances hard to dance after just one cup.

I can't wait to see her progress. She is very pleased about the story she wants to create and I believe it will make a very good impresion. Also she told me about yesterday's boat trip and the game they've played. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Good luck to all the participants, many thanks to the organizers and I am looking forword to hearing what they will do next.

    Best wishes from Romania.
